Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Artem Udovichenko (“Remeal”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data when you read the blog, use the pre-launch questionnaire, visit remeal.ai and join the Remeal waitlist.

When you join the waitlist, we currently collect and process the following personal data:

your email address;

your IP address, which is added on the backend as part of the request flow;

your launch-email choice, which is checked in the browser before submission. The website request sends your email and IP address, but does not include the checkbox value or questionnaire answers.

Questionnaire selections are held in browser memory to provide the interactive flow and profile summary. The website does not save these selections to local storage or include them in the waitlist request or custom Google Analytics events. They may remain while the browser preserves the current page, including its back/forward cache.

Your personal data is collected when you voluntarily enter your email address on the waitlist signup screen and submit the form.

The current technical data flow is: website frontend → project backend → internal API → MongoDB database.

We process your personal data for the following purposes:

to register your interest in the Remeal product;

to maintain and manage the waitlist;

to contact you about the launch of Remeal and related early access offers, where you have provided the required consent;

to operate, secure, and technically maintain the website and waitlist flow;

to handle deletion or access requests relating to your waitlist data.

We rely on the following legal bases under applicable data protection law:

Consent: for sending launch updates and early access communications after you actively agree to receive them.

Legitimate interests: for operating, securing, and administering the website and the waitlist infrastructure, including technical processing of request-related data such as IP address.

The website infrastructure and database are currently hosted in Europe using Hetzner. Waitlist data is stored in a MongoDB database running on infrastructure hosted through Hetzner in Europe.

We do not sell your personal data.

Your data may be processed by service providers and infrastructure providers that help us operate the website and waitlist, including hosting and database infrastructure providers.

At the time of this version, the website infrastructure and data storage referenced above are hosted via Hetzner in Europe.

The waitlist database is hosted in Europe. Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager may involve processing in the United States or other countries outside the European Economic Area. European hosting of our database does not mean that all website-related data remains in Europe. Contact admin@remeal.ai for information about the applicable recipients and transfer arrangements.

With your analytics consent, we use Google Analytics 4 through Google Tag Manager to understand website use and improve our content and waitlist experience. This processing is based on consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR where the GDPR applies.

Measurement may include cookie-based identifiers, visited pages, page titles, traffic sources, browser and device characteristics, approximate location, calls to action, article reading and scroll progress, pre-launch flow stages, and waitlist interactions. Analytics identifiers are pseudonymous, not necessarily anonymous. Our custom events do not include email addresses, free-text input or questionnaire answers.

You can reject, allow or withdraw analytics using Cookie settings. Analytics is optional and is not a condition of reading articles or joining the waitlist. Your analytics choice is separate from launch emails and from acknowledging this policy. PostHog is not enabled by the current website application.

We remember cookie preferences in local storage under remeal:cookies-consent:v1. The website does not set an automatic expiry for that record; it remains until replaced or cleared, including by your browser. It contains your category choices, decision and timestamp, not your email or questionnaire answers.

Google Analytics is configured to retain event-level data for 2 months and user-level data for 14 months. Reset on new user activity is enabled, so new activity renews the retention period for the relevant user-level data. These settings are separate from cookie expiration and do not apply to most standard reports based on aggregated data.

We keep waitlist data only for as long as it is necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

We may keep your email address and related waitlist record until the Remeal launch communication process has been completed, or until the waitlist is no longer needed.

We may delete your data earlier if you request deletion.

Technical logs, backups, and related infrastructure data may be retained for reasonable operational, security, or recovery purposes.

If applicable law, including the GDPR, applies to you, you may have the right to:

request access to your personal data;

request correction of inaccurate personal data;

request deletion of your personal data;

withdraw your consent at any time where processing is based on consent;

object to certain processing based on legitimate interests;

lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority.

Based on the current setup, waitlist entries can be found and deleted manually from the database.

The Remeal waitlist is intended only for users aged 18 and over.

We do not knowingly collect waitlist signups from persons under the age of 18. If we become aware that personal data has been submitted by a person under 18, we will take reasonable steps to delete that data.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, and unlawful processing.

However, no website or online infrastructure can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this document.

The version published on the website at the relevant time will be the governing version.
